Mosquito appears to be a very small insect to us. But the impact of their bite can be a life-taking risk. I am talking about the mosquito-related diseases. According to WHO (World Health Organization), Every year, 40000 to 70000 people lose their life from the mosquito-borne disease around the globe. There is no medicine yet made for getting recovered from the disease. We don't have a prominent medicine to save ourselves from diseases like Dengue. If we get bitten from the mosquito, then there is a high possibility of being caught by Dengue. There is not even a single piece of medicine available to fight against the disease. Then, there is a high chance of loss of platelets, which is the important component of blood. Platelets are very important when it comes to survive in a disease. The normal platelet count of a human being should be between 150000 to 450000. But, when it comes to dengue, a person loses so many platelets that he becomes weak. He loses energy. And when the platelets are reduced to 20000, then it is a sign of danger. But, in Dengue, the speed we lose the platelets is equal to the speed we gain it back. But it should never be less.
What Can We Do To Prevent Ourselves?
We don't yet have any medicine to save ourselves. So, we need to live in the kind of environment where we are free from the mosquitoes, especially those causing dengue. That is why it is always said:
precaution is better than cure.
Moreover, if we have a good diet and we live in a hygienic environment, we will have less chance of being caught by these diseases. These diseases are so much rigid. We will try to get rid of them, but we won't be able to.
- Never store water in cooler or any other open place for more than 2 to 3 days because it is a good place for the mosquito to lay their eggs and increase themselves.
- Always stay hydrated. It boosts our energy.
Why Do Mosquitoes Bite Us?
Mosquitoes are always in search of best place where they can lay their eggs. They try to find a protein-rich place, where the eggs will get the nutrients. Our blood contains so many nutrients, that they bite us and lay the eggs. Moreover, if you're annoyed with that bite of the mosquito and try to itch, then the egg will spread inside the body and making high chances of diseases.
